The biomass granulator is a key equipment in the bioenergy industry, designed for pressing and granulating materials such as sawdust, straw and rice husk. As a professional Chinese B2B supplier, we have been supplying the Russian and CIS markets with highly efficient and stable biomass granulators as well as complete production lines for a long time. Below is a standardized start-up process and operating rules applicable to industrial continuous production.
Before starting up a biomass pellet mill line, it is necessary to ensure that all systems are in a safe condition and basic checks have been completed:
First of all, it is necessary to check the stability of the power supply, the reliability of the equipment grounding and the absence of alarm signals in the control cabinet. Check the oil level at all lubrication points and ensure that no moving parts are seized. It is also necessary to ensure that there are no foreign objects in the raw material bin, and that there are no blockages in the transport system or inside the main equipment.
Only after confirmation of all safety conditions is it possible to proceed to the startup procedure.
The biomass granulation line should be run strictly according to the principle: from auxiliary systems to the main equipment and from the output end to the input end, to ensure the stable operation of the system:
1、Turn on the main power supply and make sure the control system starts normally.
2、Start the fan system, conveyor system, packaging and sealing equipment in sequence.
3、Start the main conveyor, putting the line into standby mode.
4、Start the hopper and sluice motors to ensure free flow of material.
5、Start the main motor of the biomass granulator and check the rotation stability of the main shaft.
6、Turn on the raw material supply system, preparing it for material supply.
7、Start the conveying feeding system, ensuring stable material supply.
8、Start feeding at low speed, gradually and evenly to avoid sudden overload.
9、If necessary, turn on the material feeding fan to ensure stable transportation.
During operation of the biomass granulator, the operator must constantly monitor the condition of the equipment and the quality of the product, ensuring optimal operating conditions.
Consistency of granule yield, including length, density, and shape integrity, should be observed. If deviations are detected, immediate correction is required.
Typical situations include:
- If the granules are too dry and light, it is necessary to check the moisture content of the raw materials and, if necessary, increase the moisture content or adjust the recipe.
- If the length of the granules is unstable - the cause may be insufficient humidity or unstable pressing, the conditioning and pressure of the rollers should be checked.
- If problems are observed with the formation of granules, it is necessary to check the fastening of the matrix and the clearance of the pressing rollers.
- If the output quality differs between different installations, synchronous calibration of equipment parameters is required.
- If there are significant fluctuations in the length of the granules, it is necessary to check the condition of the main shaft and possible wear of the drive system.
- If the formation of granules is unstable, the clearances and wear of the gear train should be checked.
During operation of the biomass granulator, feed blockages, jamming or excessive vibration may occur. In such cases it is necessary:
1、Clogged or blocked material supply:immediately stop the feeding system, clear the blockage and restart the equipment.
2、Feed motor jammed:stop the system, check the condition of the material, clear the blockage and restart.
3、Abnormal noise from main equipment: Stop the machine immediately; Possible causes are too dry raw material, faulty rollers, loose gears or shaft wear.
4、Feed auger jammed: First turn off the main motor, feed and transport system, then carefully remove the blockage with a special tool. Do not use force to avoid damage.
As a professional B2B supplier, we recommend equipping equipment with anti-jamming and overload protection systems at the design stage to increase production stability and reduce accident rates.
During operation of the biomass granulator, the operator must constantly monitor the ammeter reading to assess the load of the equipment:
As the current increases, the feed rate must be reduced to avoid overload. With low current and stable operation, you can gradually increase the supply, but only in small steps with an interval of 3-4 adjustment levels to avoid sudden loads.
If the equipment jams, you must immediately turn off the supply and power, then clean the internal components using compressed air, especially in the area of the pressing rollers, completely removing any remaining raw materials.
If the equipment does not start after cleaning, it is necessary to adjust the roller clearance and perform a dry start until operation stabilizes, after which normal production can be resumed.
